Camp Winnarainbow is a circus and performing-arts overnight (sleepaway) camp near Laytonville in Mendocino County, founded in 1975 by Wavy Gravy (Hugh Romney) and now an ACA-accredited nonprofit. In one- and two-week summer sessions, children ages 7-14 take classes in aerials (trapeze, silks, Spanish web), juggling, tightrope, gymnastics, acting, unicycle, stilt-walking, clowning and magic. Campers live in tipis on a rustic site with a circus tent, stage and a swimming lake; administrative offices are in Berkeley.

They want to transition from camper to counselor as they age out. They don't always fit in at school, but have found the best community at Winnarainbow!

She hysterically frothed about the children being unsafe and injured because they had shin bruises and cuts???? After a long day of playing and hiking? How ever could that happen? Some people were never let outside to learn how the world works, or simply weren't socialized enough to know how to behave around other humans. Seek help and stay away from our kids.
★Shadow MysticI gave a 1 star because I went there for 4 years and my last time I went I was treated with absolute worst and most disgusting disrespect from the campers and constantly saw staff spying on me. I have a disability we’re I tend to stretch the truth and don’t understand a lot of things so I was sent home and after I was constantly bullied by the campers that treated everyone else like garbage. If your child has emotional disorders or associative personality disorder I do not recommend going to this camp. I believe needs to be checked by health officials and safety officials as well I always see campers and staff leave in bruises and cuts. My family and I are extremely angry and upset with how I was treated.
