Camp Winadu is truly a special place for kids! From the moment we selected Winadu for our son, it was clear how much care and attention the staff put into creating a warm, welcoming environment. The counselors are enthusiastic, supportive, and always make sure every camper feels included and encouraged. What really sets Camp Winadu apart is its focus on building character and confidence. The camp fosters teamwork, resilience, and independence in a way that feels natural and fun for the kids. The sense of community is strong, and you can tell the campers leave not only with great memories but also with personal growth. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Camp Winadu. It’s a place where kids can thrive, build friendships, and create unforgettable summer memories. Highly recommend!
Extensive facilities, plenty of playing fields, basketball courts, etc. Nice lake for swimming. And a pool. Dining hall fare not the greatest: lots of bread and fries always available. Pancakes burnt, but waffles okay. Burgers. Hey it's camp. No one died. Cabins sleep about 12 each in bunk beds. Plenty of electrical outlets for everyone to charge their phone. Toilets stalls often have non-working latches so limited privacy.
I've been there since I was 1 year old. I love it. The most amazing place. The directors are great and the staff is amazing. Very well run place. I have a special connection to that place. It keeps getting better!
Our son just started his second summer here. It is fabulous. The grounds are spectacular and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. This is an extremely well run organization that always puts the kids and integrity first. Our son came back last year with a wonderful confidence and lots of fun stories. I cannot recommend more highly.
