This was our first year at Camp Wakeshma, and three days before camp our youngest son broke his arm in two places. The counselors still made sure he had fun while staying safe, and both of our boys had the time of their lives! They can’t wait to go back next year. Great value and classic summer camp vibes!

The quality of experience of this camp has gone severely downhill the last couple of years. The reviews are from the past, a place like this you have to go with what is current because the players change each year. Staff indifference to issues with campers and theft from cabins by campers (thankfully not our daughters cabin) and the lack of accountability of the leadership to do anything about it. Nobody was sent home, they simply took the stuff (and snacks there weren't eaten) gave them back and everything went back to normal. Sadly, another awesome legacy is going away.

All of my kids have gone to this camp multiple years. Founded in 1925, it is just like the camps of old that you see portraid in the movies. No cell phones, back to real face time. Help your children learn to interact with others away from electronics. Safe, fun and educational. You have to register in January, because it fills up really fast. Incredible value! Send your kid a package, or 5 letters in a day and they have to jump from the high dive in their clothes. You will not regret sending your kids here for memories that will last a lifetime.

This is truly "old school' summer camp and just what kids need these days. My daughter has attended for four years (missed one year due her mother's inability to sign up in time) and won't go anywhere else. Great value - both financial and emotionally.

I just picked up my daughter from her first year of band camp. She was very emotional leaving because of the good time that she had. Based on her reactions and my interactions with the staff on hand I would rate this as one of the better camps around the area.
