Powered by GoogleVisited Sherman Lake YMCA for mom and kids weekend in April and had the best time! Loved all of the activities, the food was great for kids and moms, staff was friendly and helpful, and facilities were clean. My daughter can’t stop talking about all the fun we had. Can’t wait to come back!
Had the best time attending Sherman Lake for a Mom and Kids weekend. This was my second time attending and drove from Illinois with friends for this special weekend full of laughs, fun, adventure and well curated activities. The camp is very clean with modern facilities, food service was delicious, and the staff were attentive and well trained for our needs. We look forward to coming back, and just wished we lived closer to take advantage of the rec center or other fun weekend activities.
This will be our 8th year sending our kids to Sherman Lake. After year 1, it was never a question of if they would back, it was when. The friendships they make and life lessons learned are irreplaceable! We have always felt welcomed, cared for and met with understanding. Camp is always clean and accommodating, communication is consistent, clear and open. My picky eaters love the menu throughout the week and enjoy activities they don’t usually partake in at home. My oldest loves it so much, she hopes to work while in college. We couldn’t be happier that we found Sherman Lake YMCA camp!
My son went to 5th grade camp here with his school this year. For months prior, he did not want to go. When he came back home he did not have any negative things to say about his time there! He actually said that he wants to go back there in the summer! He loved the counselors, thought the food was great, and had fun doing all the activities. I'm so glad camps like this are still around for kids to experience!
My kids have attended Sherman Lake YMCA camp for the past 4 years for multiple weeks each summer. They LOVE it - the counselors are engaging, the setting it beautiful, and the activities are a great fit for any kid (while there is a schedule of activities - there are multiple options at the same time and kids are empowered to find what is comfortable for them). As a parent, I have always felt that my kids are safe, getting exposed to enriching activities, and surrounded by kind, responsible adults who model and set great expectations. Highly recommended!
