Powered by GoogleOur two daughters have been attending Wa-Klo for three years, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Their time at camp is perhaps their favorite time of the year. They experience so much growth while they are there, forming friendships and exploring activities that they don’t usually have the opportunity to try in their everyday lives. They stretch their abilities, have fun, and also learn how to be considerate individuals who look out for one another. The environment is incredibly supportive and caring, and the break from screens provides a much-needed reset. They talk about camp all year long. Choosing Wa-Klo was one of the best decisions we made for them!
A magical place! Camp Wa-Klo has been home to my daughter for the past six summers. This coming summer she will be in the leadership training program for the older girls who are ready for more responsibility but not old enough to be counselors yet. Camp Wa-Klo has seen our daughter through her middle school years and with summers at Wa-Klo she has become stronger, more confident and more caring. Wa-Klo has taught her to take up space in the world, speak up for herself and others and to have fun! It is a special place for girls where they each shine in their own special way and all are supported and loved. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the director Tammy, her staff and the surroundings.
Our daughter has been a Waklo camper for the last 3 years and loves it. The friendships, the community and the whole authentic lakeside American summer camp experience. The owners/ camp director are super involved , professional and caring !
My girls (age 10) just returned from 3 weeks at Wa-klo (their first time at sleep away camp) and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this camp, Tammy the director and the entire staff and program. Wa-klo truly feels like a close-knit family. As a parent, I had many communications with Tammy prior to camp and I felt as if she and the staff really wanted to get to know my girls to ensure that camp was an incredible experience for them. While both were homesick, I trusted that they were in the best care and they were. Wa-Klo is also a gorgeous camp, beautiful location and really fun activities. This is a wonderful place
This is an awesome place for girls to have a summer vacation. The camp is full of activities, each with training to help educate and then perform. Things such as archery, fencing, windsurfing, waterskiing, farming, and horseback riding. With about ninety acres of property, there is a lot to do and plenty of room to do it. The food served is healthy, comes with options, and taste delicious. Good owners and employees run the Camp.
