Camp Ta-Kum-Ta is a free overnight camp in South Hero, Vermont for children ages 7-17 who have or have had cancer, operated by a nonprofit since 1984. Each August it brings about 100 campers from Vermont and northern New York together for traditional camp activities in a safe, supportive setting, and it provides year-round programming for campers and their families. All programs are offered at no cost.

Through this camp, kids have been given the opportunity to actually be a kid. This is sometimes the only place where a kid with cancer, does not feel excluded as "the kid with cancer" because every camper here has been in their situation before. There is nowhere else that some of the kids would rather be than at this camp. This camp is supported 100% though donations and volunteers all throughout the year.
