The best camp ever had lots of fun activities and friends

This camp is absolutely terrible and unfit for children. I went when I was 13 years old. I had a phone at the time and they took it away the whole time I was there. I had no way to contact my family. I ended up getting bedbugs from the cabin I stayed in. If you put your elbows on the table during mealtime, you’re made to stand while everyone points at you and publicly humiliates you and sings a song about why you’re a slob for putting your elbows on the table. Children are forced to go to chapel 3 times a day and to try to sit through hours of bible readings and made to partake in terrifying theatrical “holy possessions” where everyone is crying and fainting. How can you look at what you’re doing and not think that this is traumatizing to young, impressionable children? Being isolated from their families, unable to ask to go home and subjected to all of this. It felt more like a prison camp than a fun, summer getaway. By the time it was over, I was relieved to never have to go back again. Think twice before sending your kids here.

Amazing camp. We love it. My son was a camper for 4 years in a row and then a CIT he absolutely loves it. If he could live there he would. It's truly the highlight of his summer. The staff is wonderful they take great care of the kids and really care about them.

My children have been going to camp Shiloh for about 5 years. It’s always an amazing place for children to go to and just have alot of fun. They like the fact that it’s a sleep away camp. They get a break from their parents and school. They learn the Bible and the word of God. They get the chance to meet new people and make new friends. The counselors are always friendly and keep the children busy with activity’s. My children love it here. I would definitely recommend this camp to anyone who has school age and teens. They will enjoy their experience here.
