Camp Sanders (Sanders Christian Camp) is a rustic Christian camp and retreat center near Tensed in the Palouse of North Idaho, operating since 1935. Beside Little Gem Lake, it hosts overnight ministry and youth camps as well as group rentals and retreats, with a lakeside chapel, cabins and bunk housing for up to 130 guests, a gym, ballfield and trails.

★★★★★Jennifer SteeleLove this place! It is a wonderful place for a group retreat. The cabins and rooms can accommodate quite a few, but there is also plenty of room for a smaller group to spread out. Or group numbered around 49, I think and managed to separate everyone into family/close friend groups for lodging making it possible to hold our retreat more safely in these Covid times. The staff is welcoming. The food is simple, but good. The grounds are a perfect balance of woodsy, but tidy. There is room to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh air. Our group has enjoyed this location for about 9 or ten years and we intend to keep coming back.

Though a Christian camp, the camp hosts many other groups including, but not limited to, weddings, receptions, quilting groups, scrap booking groups, karate groups, sororities and fraternities. It's only 45 minutes from the Moscow/Pullman area, and roughly an hour from the Spokane airport, yet the location has the feel of being far out and away. I highly recommend Camp Sanders!
