Camp Ramah Northern California · Private

Camp Ramah in Northern California is a Jewish overnight (sleepaway) summer camp near Monterey Bay in Watsonville, part of the Conservative movement's Ramah network and opened in 2016. Two-week sessions blend traditional Jewish camp community with specialty tracks: ocean exploration (kayaking, surfing, scuba and marine biology), adventure sports (rock climbing, mountain biking, farming and a backcountry trip) and performing arts. Its coastal setting near the Santa Cruz Mountains supports extensive outdoor and ocean programming.

Ramah Galim has solidly been the highlight of my summer every single year for the past five years. It’s the perfect combination between Judaism, the ocean, and the nature surrounding, but the ocean is the highlight of Ramah Galim. I confidently can recommend this camp to anyone Jewish, religious or not.
