Powered by GoogleDefinitively went way above expectations. The place was very well kept, clean, comfortable and they thought of almost every detail, sufficient dishes and plates, even the pantries had things spices etc. The staff was outstanding. There are a large amount of activities that could be done, there or very close by. The only thing I would ask of anyone reading this review is to please, have the respect to be the kind of client/visitor this place deserves.
Camp Quaker heights was Amazing!! Everyone was so friendly, & helpful...Chip was great, Pam & Hubby who we camped next to ,and there was a man who worked there who gave us his spot even the teens. Probably the nicest campground i have ever camped at,neat and clean, scenic, enjoyed the campfire, sorry if we were noisy tried to keep it down.People in the town were very nice also, we enjoyed boating on the Lake, Thank you Travis ,the two antique shops Picking Preacher ,Hyvee staff. We would defiently camp there again if they would have us.Chris
Camp Quaker Heights is an awesome place. The directors are kind hearted and available. The Campus is rustic, but tall oaks lodge is new. I prefer the old cabins/bunk houses that the kids sleep in when they're at camp. But that's me. I like fishing at pine lake and in the Iowa River which is just a short hike down hill. A great spot with nice neighbors too.
While this camp facility is usually bubbling with youth during the summer months, their Tall Oaks Lodge is a perfect place to join up with friends and family in the off season. Rooms have 1 double bed, bunk beds, and a restroom. There are 9 bedrooms total. There is a kitchen and dining area.
I have helped lead several fall or winter high school church retreats here. The people are great and very accommodating. Some of the facilities show some wear and tear, but the location is beautiful and the facilities serve our needs very well!
