Powered by GoogleValley overlook is such a great campground! We stayed at a primitive site and really enjoyed our stay! We tent camped and stayed on site C4. We enjoyed hiking the overlook trail, the facilities were nice and clean. The hosts were kind and friendly and were available to answer our questions whenever we had them! They have multiple types of sites including canvas tents and primitive sites and fully outfitted cabins. I would highly recommend! Everything for the national park is very close by to visit!
Stayed for a long weekend and loved every moment! The booking process was so easy, and all the communication before we arrived was efficient and timely. The tent and bed we stayed in was comfortable and clean and the sites were far enough apart to have a nice sense of privacy. The view was gorgeous! The bathrooms were all clean and the campground was relatively quiet. Highly recommend. We wish all our future camp sites could be like this!
I visited with a friend and we stayed in one of the glamping tents. The area was peaceful and easy to access from the highway. It’s also in the national park, so most of the hiking trails are within a 5-15 minute drive of the camp. The beds were comfortable and the bedding was warm! I would, however, recommend bringing extra blankets if you know it’s going to be chilly at night. It did rain almost every day during our stay and the tent kept everything dry! The email confirmation was very clear about what you may need to pack and check in was super easy. The restrooms were very nice as far as campgrounds go and were well-maintained throughout our 5-day stay. The staff was very kind and responded quickly when we called about a wasp starting to build a nest outside our tent. Altogether, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Valley Overlook to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay in Cuyahoga Valley national park.
Valley Overlook was a terrific place to stay for two nights in Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My "glamping tent" N2 was beautifully set up, with the deck overlooking a forested ravine I felt like I was in a treehouse. I was a little worried because the first night was going to be rainy and the second cold. But the tents are covered in sturdy tarps, so I listened to the rain drumming on the tarps and slept better than I have in a long time. The next night was down to 48 degrees, and I was glad to have my lightweight down sleeping bag to layer over the blankets - with that, I was cozy and warm. The bathrooms are immaculate. Everyone there was quiet and respectful, just enjoying the beautiful nature around us. So many chipmunks!
Great spot for bike camping! Rode down from Cleveland with 8 people. Checking in was as simple as rolling to our designated primitive campsites and setting up. Clean campsite. Plenty of trees for the hammock folks to setup. Didn’t use the shower (bring your own soap/towel) but was clean along with the bathrooms. Had some questions before we came and the gentlemen on the phone, Terry, was very helpful. A great campsite to have in our area and we will definitely be back. All 8 of us were happy campers.
