Camp Middlesex

Camp Middlesex has been our family’s go-to camp since my daughter was old enough to attend. She is now 13 years old and will be participating as a Counselor-in-Training for a couple of weeks this summer. Over the years, she has attended both day camp and overnight camp, and she always comes home with great memories. Some of her favorite activities include the glow-in-the-dark dance and the night out at the Common. The staff are consistently friendly, supportive, and helpful, creating a welcoming environment for all campers. One of the things I appreciate most about Camp Middlesex is its no-technology policy. In a world where so many kids are constantly connected to their phones, having the opportunity to unplug for a day, a week, or even longer is truly invaluable. It allows campers to build friendships, gain independence, and fully engage in the camp experience. I can’t recommend this camp enough!

Absolutely disgusting dirty camp. Do not send your kids here. I've been here over a dozen times in the last 5 years and it's never been "clean", but it's gotten so much worse, to the point where I incurred a month-long infection after they allowed and event to run with no running water

I saw that instead of reaching out to apologize you instead chose to delete my original review so here I am rewriting it. About a year maybe a little more ago I had gone to this camp expecting it to be your average, exciting camp spoiler alert it wasn’t. The camp before I arrived was well aware that I suffer with anxiety and depression so they knew 100%. I was promised that I would be able to contact my parents whenever I wanted which later when I was begging and pleading for them to let me call my parents they said no. Since nobody there is actually trained to do there job nobody knew how to help me so they just insulted me by saying I “was crying to get out of chores” which yes you do have to do chores there. At some point I was told that if I promised to go back to my cabin they would call my parents and tell them to pick me up so I did, I went back to my cabin because I trusted and thought that they would, that was also the closest I had ever gotten to going home so I thought. My parents never came. I cried every day but every single counselor ignored me. I was getting bullied and when I reported her they only sent her home because she insulted a counselor. I found out later at the end of the week that they never in fact contacted my parents and when the letter that I sent in the mail while I was at the camp didn’t arrive until 2 weeks later in a different envelope then I sent it in so they opened the letter I sent. My parents and I have done everything but I have not received any type of apology. I still suffer with the after affects and the trauma. Keep in mind that this has happened to multiple people so if you still want to go here or are thinking of sending your child here I’m telling you right now DONT they are mean, manipulating and not worth your money find somewhere else.

My Daughter Loved the day camp. I was skeptical as was my first time going there. The staff were all s.iles and knew exactly how to get the kids engaged. The Boats were her favorite. They swam every day. This camp breeds independence for their campers. Never knew my daughter liked hockey but found out she loved it and is good at it. I liked this camp for rural and sustainable abilities. Great Camp recco.end the day camp.

It's a great place for kids and young adults, to learn many different life experiences. They can make new friends for life and go on to be camp councilors. I just can't list all the fun things there, you just need to go see and experience it for yourself.
