Camp McCormick is a Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois camp on nearly 400 acres of woods and prairie with almost two miles of Rock River frontage in Stillman Valley, about 25 minutes from Rockford. It runs overnight/sleepaway and family camp sessions for girls, with instructional activities in horseback riding, swimming (outdoor pool), arts and crafts, adventure, and nature. Campers stay in platform tents and Adirondacks with a central dining hall and health center on site.

★★★★★Ashly StrombergCamp McCormick has a variety of camping options such as the friendship center with outdoor and indoor pool (pools open to all campers regardless of lodge choice), platform tents, covered wagon type cabins, mini cabins and more. My Girl Scout Troop loved our weekend stay. There is fishing areas, many hiking trails (some easier level and some more difficult and challenging), corn mazes, rock quarry, bon fire pits, Gaga pit, human fooseball, and tons of beautiful sites in natural all around the grounds. Beautiful place! Ranger, counselors and staff are very nice and wonderful to work with.
