We had a great visit at Camp Lowden from Friday, March 13 - Sunday, March 15, 2026. We had the annual Iron Chef cookout at Boeger Leadership Lodge here. We had great weather the whole time, although a little chillier than the rest of the warm week had been. Great weekend. Nice to get away. Also we saw this cool statute in Oregon from the side of the road on our way home! This was my eighth time at Camp Lowden and I definitely hope that I will be back! (Written 3-25-26)

Attended a Boy Scout weekend here recently with my own kiddo after having been here 20 years ago myself and what a great camp with excellent, clean facilities and fun, cheerful staff.
BSA Camp Lowden is one of the few camps that reside in Winnebago County, it has a decent dining hall, well-designed fire bowl, and a variety of program provided by the camp. High adventure is tier 2 at best, few areas seem to be under staffed. Water front is located at the pool next to dining hall and on the river which requires a 1 mile walk. They do still do blue cards, but the newer check sheet system is largely preferred and less time consuming, plus has far less room for mistakes. Warning to parking! Parking lot floods after large rain events. This message is for those who wish to work here: Housing is seems more towards shacks than cabins.
