Camp La Vida is a Christian missions-discipleship overnight camp in the White Oak community between Winnsboro and Chester, owned and operated by the Woman's Missionary Union auxiliary to the South Carolina Baptist Convention and serving Southern Baptist churches since 1983. Weeklong summer sessions run June through July for girls in grades 3-12, with minicamps for 2nd graders and mother-daughter camps for grades 1-3. Campers swim, canoe, shoot riflery and archery, climb a rock wall, explore nature, and do pottery, interpretive music, puppetry, and overnight camp-outs, while visiting missionaries meet with campers. The weekly rate is $360 including meals and activities, and programming follows WMU age-level groups such as Girls in Action and Acteens.
