Camp Jubilee

Camp Jubilee is a week-long Christian sleep-away camp for students entering 7th grade through finishing 8th grade, run as a ministry of Visalia Christian Reformed Church on California's Central Coast. The program centres on outdoor worship, games and meals together, and the operator states it looks for locations each summer that allow worship outdoors. Registration is handled on the camp's own site.

This was our child’s first overnight camp, and it couldn’t have been a better experience! We were a little nervous at first, but the photo updates gave us so much peace of mind. Seeing the kids having fun made us even more excited to hear about the camp when our child came home. My child couldn’t stop talking about how kind and caring the staff were, the new friends they made, the delicious food, and all the fun activities. He had such an amazing time that he immediately asked to go back next year! We’ve already decided to register for Jubilee again next summer. If you’re thinking about sending your child but feeling unsure, I highly recommend it!

Camped here with an organization I belong too. The camp team were so accommodating and friendly. The best part, the youth left so so so happy 🥰. Thank you Team Camp Jubilee! EDIT: since my last post, I realized I forgot something important at camp. They were so awesome getting it back to me. Thank you!

I came up for 5 days in September. It was a wonderful experience meeting with the campers and the staff. I got to meet new people there and make some friends. I really enjoyed the kayaking, archery, the camp fire, and especially the food. I also went on a hike with a small group of people; unfortunately I didn't encounter a bear. Although one of the campers was scared of a black bear during the night near the camp fire pit.

Each summer my son looks forward to his week at Camp Jubilee. He loves the activities, raves about the food, and makes new friends. He comes back exhausted and happy, and after I throw him in the shower and his clothes in the washing machine, I get to hear about all his new adventures. He’s 13 and going again this year. Five stars from both of us.

The worst thing about Camp Jubilee was when we had to leave. It was beautiful, there were constant breathtaking moments. We were a party of 80 gathered at one of the most spectacular places in the harbor/inlet. The staff, including the chef were excellent, the food could not have been better, we were there for 3 days, two nights. Hot showers, in cabin toilet facilities. Wheel chair accessibility to most spots. I would recommend this spot for special occasions, employee related workshops, yoga retreats. They have it all, and I can only imagine how fortunate any child would be to attend summer camp in this setting.
