Powered by GoogleI go there every year having fun five stars And it’s clean.
Not a fan of this camp. It seems disorganized. The rooms and facility in general is pretty dark and lacks life. The staff is not friendly. When coming to pick up my daughter, I would smile and say hello only to be met with blank stares. My daughter did not feel comfortable and it didn't seem that much was done to encourage connection between new and existing campers. My daughter (10 years old) did also attend the Masonboro field trip during a very hot period. She told me when I picked her up that she got very over-heated and they had to take her back to the boat and give her cold packs because she felt she was going to pass out. No ONE at the camp told me of this, nor did we get a call about it. She was also spoken to very disrespectfully by a bus driver woman when trying to locate her shoes on the bus. This is concerning because I wonder what other things the staff aren't telling parents that happen during the day. Pretty sketchy vibes at this place. I was even looking at this church as a possible place I may switch my family to on Sundays but not with this odd vibe. I can't really explain it, but something is definitely off with this place and the people. Avoid it.
With three kids, we’ve tried nearly every camp in Wilmington. Camp Impact has been consistently 5-star every year and I have come to rely on them as part of our kids’ “summer family”. The staff are amazing and the small touches, like daily texts from the counselor, warm greetings upon arrival, checking ids when your child is picked up, and other meaningful outreach, means so much. They have kept the cost reasonable over the years and this is such a blessing when you’re having to pay for multiple kids at camp each week. I can’t thank you guys enough for being such an important part of our community!
This was our first experience with Camp Impact and it was amazing! Our daughter was so excited to come home and tell us about each day and all the new things she learned and fun things they did. The most important part for us was she was memorizing scripture and applying it to her life at home. Thank you Jesus for this opportunity and Camp Impact for showing the love of Jesus to our little girl!
Our daughter has been attending Camp Impact for three years and she loves it. The counselors and staff keep the kids engaged in a fun and dynamic atmosphere. There are always different things to do every week. It is one of the few full day camp options for working parents and is reasonably priced. We also love that the counselors and staff reflect the love of Jesus and the camp has been an integral vehicle in our family's faith. Great place to send your kids! They will love it.
