Camp Fire First Texas's 223-acre camp where the Brazos River meets Fall Creek near Granbury, established in 1934 and ACA-accredited. Summer offers co-ed overnight sessions (4-, 6- and 13-day) for ages 6-16, plus day camp and a program for grieving children. Activities include horseback riding, hiking, archery, arts and crafts and a high-ropes course. Nonprofit.

★Christina PabonWe’ve been here for a day and a half and I have never met staff so unfriendly to a group of kids at a youth camp environment in my entire life, as I have experienced this week. We’ve attended church camps, athletic camps and nothing like this. Word to the staff, especially the young blonde working at this camp, if you don’t like your job DONT SIGN UP FOR IT. Felt more like boot camp than a fun 2 day camp for these kids.
★★★Laurel LiBunk bed mattresses are definitely rated for children, not adults, so bring extra padding if you're the camp counselor/leader/chaperone. Food was not nutritionally sufficient for physical days of activity. And the campground is decently large with uneven ground. You WILL be walking. Careful of ankle and knee injuries. "Lake Leo" is a pond, not a lake. Catch & release policy on the fish stocked in it. Fish food dispenser on the metal floating dock. Lots of reeds, so traditional fishing gear is best. Cabins and showers are well lit and comfortable, but screens or curtains would be beneficial when changing. Water is soft, so be aware. Lots of trees line all the pathways. Make sure to bring bug spray. Ants are also in abundance across the grounds.

I did not like because there was so many rocks and One of my friends fell on a rock, and it hit his head and another one of my friends tripped over a rock, and hewas holding a stick And it just went boom his tooth Fell out blood everywhere so there was just too many rocks so like maybe like just keep them in one area but everything else was awesome 👏

The programs put on throughout the year are family friendly, and offer a variety of activities ranging from canoeing, archery, arts & crafts, along with many others. Make sure to check out this hidden gem Granbury, TX has to offer.
★★★★★Rene BIt's been a while since I was at this camp, but it left it's impression on me. I visited this camp as part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Becoming an Outdoor Woman's program. Some of the best photos I took ... ever ... where at this camp. The staff were fantastic and the food was pretty good. The area was great for hiking, star gazing, kayaking, and of course photography. I had a blast at this camp. The cabins were clean and well kept.
