Camp Earl Wallace is a Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife conservation camp on Lake Cumberland near Monticello, serving students in grades 4 to 6 (up to age 13). The residential program teaches outdoor skills through boating, fishing, archery, swimming, outdoor survival, and firearm safety. Note: the camp is not operating for the 2026 summer season, with campers redirected to Camp Currie or Camp Webb.

I attended approximately 2001-2002, 2 years in a row. I came from a very poor, and very rough childhood. I can’t speak in certainty as I was a child. But there was angels that ensured that I was able to partake in the camp. It set me on the path of becoming a passionate lifelong outdoorsman, that led me from the Alaskan wilderness to the Florida Everglades. Now I am back in Central Kentucky where I recently watched my first child born, Her name is Ashlin Fawn. The buses where 3 hours late because they forgot to check with the bus company 3 or so days in advance but it was not that bad. But still do recommend for you to go to this camp because your child will have lots of fun.
