Trooper Island Camp is a free summer camp on an island in Dale Hollow Lake near Burkesville, established by the Kentucky State Police in 1965 for children ages 10 to 12 from families facing financial hardship. Troopers and volunteers run week-long sessions of outdoor activities including kayaking, fishing, archery, and swimming. The camp is funded entirely by donations and serves roughly 700 children each summer at no cost.

★Caliey CrouchHorrible!!! I had a awful experience when I was a child. They mistreated us and talked to us badly. Wasn't aloud to call my parent and they allowed me to have a asthma attack... the activities were fun but the people were horrible. After I came home I had nightmares and started sleep walking and it was absolutely traumatizing!! Dont let your kids go here!! We also got ate up with head lice!!
