Honestly I used to love this place! I grew up staying at this camp. However the lady that works there is absolutely rude! She is not nice at all. So I called there about a week ago and I didn't even get my question out and she snapped at me,now the guy that works there is so nice and polite! I paid $40 to go have a fire for a few hrs one night, didn't even stay the night. I didn't make a big deal about paying that at all because it was nice of him to let us come out and do that. Like I said the lady has a nasty way about her personality and for her to treat people the way she does is just horrible. I'm sure this place will go under just like it did for the previous owners because nobody will want to come out there if they are going to be treated like trash! I didn't want to have to make this review but others need to know about this lady (very unprofessional) it's sad bc it's so beautiful out there and I've loved this place since I was 12yrs old . I'll pray for you,I'll pray you treat people with more respect

Great location and amenities. Slightly primitive and uncomfortable sleeping provisions, but otherwise no complaints.

This is a great hidden place for hiking; I will be back!

I loved this place! It's back in the boonies so cell service wasn't the greatest always but when you're camping with friends or family that isn't such a bad idea! ;) The place is well kept and we had a wonderful time singing with the piano in the conference hall. The cabin where we slept had a ton of bunks... perfect for all of us girls to be able to be together! Slightly creaky bunks... Falling asleep to the music of crickets and night birds... dark nights with star spangled skies... you get the picture! Lovely experience!

Camp Buckeye is a wonderful camp. My daughter, age 9, loved everything about it. She was there for 5 days and 5 nights, and her whole stay was packed with fun, appropriate activities. She said the food was very good and they had Amish cooks! :) The counselors are wonderful as well. My daughter made many new friends; she came home happy, and very tired!
