Camp Barstow is a Scouting America (Boy Scouts) summer camp on more than 300 acres along Lake Murray, operated by the Indian Waters Council. The overnight program is merit-badge based and centers on the waterfront: canoeing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, fishing, and waterskiing, alongside rifle and 5-stand shotgun shooting, archery, climbing, rappelling, and a COPE course. Scouts normally attend with their troop for a week-long session, but the Baden Powell Scout program lets individual Scouts attend any week as part of a provisional troop under an adult leader.

Main dining hall is air conditioned and has a large pavilion so you can have a large campfire even when it rains. The views of lake Murray are amazing, especially from the main campfire area and the chapel area. Staff are helpful and very friendly.

Ya its a pretty penny in tight times, but so very worth it teaching our children things we can not. They learn to work as a team with life skills that will help them navigate life. 10 stars!!
