I went here for a boys scout camp and it was AMAZING! This is a great option for a summer camp. They have so many different merit badge opportunities. The staff are so kind so the scouts and treat everyone like family. They have free time after classes, where scouts can go and do activities like free climb and shooting sports. They also have activities like Polar Plunge, where the scouts jump into the freezing lake at 6 AM. They also offer a hike called Blue Mountain Hike, where you climb about 1000 ft in elevation. You can’t forget, that on free time the staff will bring out a volleyball so the scouts and staff can play 9 square together. The food they give is always very delicious and refreshing. They have food for people with dietary restricts like allergies, halal food, and vegetarian. It is so beautiful there; all the mountains and trees, and you can’t forget the lake. Overall this place was a great option for a summer camp so if you ever go you will come out with no problems. I hope you enjoy!!!

Camp Alexander was an overall great place for scouts ,the food was good and the staff would sit with you when they weren't serving food. The staff was really interactive and always had a positive attitude and would understand if you were a bit late to class. The bathrooms and showers were really clean and they were located in the most populated areas, so they were easy to access. Shoutout to 2025 staff members, Ian and Amerika.They were really awesome and were so kind to the whole troop, even though some members of our troop didn't have them for a class. The staff made all the merit badges fun; even those that required more talking and explaining than hands on. Food was good and portions varied throughout the week. The food line went fast and seating was everywhere including outside, inside, and on the deck. Opening and closing campfire was really entertaining and funny. My entire troop thought that this was by far the best camp that we've been to.

Camp Alexander is a great place overall. Food was great until the end of the week. They had scouts from the troops who had to serve up to 400 kids in a 10 minute limit. And I can say that it is true because I got my food last and I was 15 mins late to my Merritt badge and the leader was not happy. Keep in mind that you need to stuff food into your mouth or that will happen. Next, there was a lack of facilities and latrines. There were no bathrooms near or anywhere close to the dining or mess hall. The pool was outside and the staff there were very nice and helpful. Being in troop 69 from Colorado this place can definitely take a lot of getting used to if you are from Texas or anyplace like that. 97% of staff were nice and helpful and were acting like a scout but the last three percent were terrible. There were staff that were teaching inappropriate things to other younger scouts and doing things that you don't want to let your kids BE DOING. For example, smoking wood and teaching them racial things in sign language. I'm not going to be putting names for privacy reasons. Handicraft staff are nice and have an amazing sense of humor and are overall the best staff there. Dons or as our troop calls him Elvis, is so nice and dresses so cool it's really hard to miss him. Edit: My review is from two years ago and things might have changed.

Camp experience was amazing, read many of these reviews before coming and didn’t know what to expect. It was the best of the 6 different summer camps I have gone to across the nation. The Outback program was amazing, Seth, Cody, and Noah (staff members) made the experience something I will never forget. I loved it and so did the boys in my troop.
