Powered by GoogleMr. Sean provides outstanding instruction for students preparing for high-level art competitions. He challenges students to achieve mastery in structural drawing, value relationships, and refined detail, and his feedback is precise and uncompromising in the best sense. His guidance has been instrumental in elevating my son’s pencil drawings to a competitive standard.
Over the past year, my daughter has taken weekly sketching classes with Mr. Sean. Sean is an exceptionally skilled artist himself, and he brings that expertise into his lesson with thoughtful, specific feedback. I’ve seen my daughter pushed and challenged in a way that builds her confidence rather than pressure. As a result, she continues to be inspired to draw and discover her own artistic voice. We feel very lucky to have found Mr Sean, and I highly recommend his classes to any student who wants to develop real skills while also enjoying the process.
My daughter have taken art classes at CalColor Belmont for about 2 years, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience so far. She is currently taking Mr. Sean's portfolio prep drawing class. Mr. Sean has been an absolutely wonderful teacher for my daughter. He is extremely experienced, and it really shows in the way he teaches and guides his students. He doesn’t just give surface-level comments — his feedback is thoughtful, specific, and genuinely helpful for improvement. He is deeply passionate about developing kids’ art skills, not just technically but creatively as well. My daughter feels motivated and confident in his class, and we’ve seen clear progress in her drawing skills since she started. He is incredibly patient and clearly care about his students, which creates a very supportive and encouraging learning environment. Overall, Mr. Sean is a skilled and caring teacher, who truly invested in helping students succeed. I would highly recommend Mr. Sean and Calcolor at Belmont.
Mr. Sean is a highly skilled and passionate art teacher. His explanations of color, composition, and technique are clear and detailed. He tailors his guidance to each student’s needs. Under his mentorship, my daughter‘s drawing skills have improved significantly, and their understanding of art has deepened.
This is the entry point for in-depth art. The young kid's program reflects various play, materials, and the latest trends to let kids create works. My daughter has been going here since it was first opened in Belmont. She first started at the Cal color academy’s summer camp 2years ago (photo:kids visited Stanford on the last day of camp) and she became very interested in art and is currently taking steps for the in-depth course with Mr.Sean. He teaches in detail, respects student's creations, provides individual feedback on each student's work, and helps them develop their art skills well! A great thing about this place is that it offers a variety of classes to suit all ages and abilities.
