Byers Gymnastics Center's Roseville gym runs themed summer camp weeks built around gymnastics instruction, games and dress-up activities. Camps meet Monday-Friday from 9:00am to 12:00pm, a half-day program rather than full workday coverage, with 2026 weeks on June 22-26 (Unicorns and Dragons) and July 13-17 (Princesses and Pirates). Kinder camps serve ages 4-6 and regular camp serves ages 6-13; registration is by phone. Byers also operates gyms in Rocklin and Citrus Heights.

Powered by GoogleCool facility with a lot of potential, but unfortunately the customer service could use some improvement. I had a hard time getting in touch—calls weren’t answered and I never received a call back despite leaving a voicemail. Also, the requirement for a "written 30-day notice" to end enrollment feels a bit rigid, especially since our little one is just 21 months old and not quite ready for gymnastics just yet. We may explore other options when the time feels right. That said, it was great to see so many happy kiddos enjoying themselves.
The facility is good. They seem to have won a lot of competitions and cater to competitive gymnasts. My daughter was beginner level but there was not a lot of teaching or instructions. They go thru the motions and don’t correct the form or provide instructions. This could partly be due to the fact they hire younger and less experienced teachers (high school students) for the beginners. For example, after weeks of classes my daughter wasn’t doing proper cartwheels. We finally looked up YouTube instructions to practice at home and based on the tips provided she corrected her form and quickly mastered it. The other issue is the front desk. I was nervous to ask simple questions, such as booking private lessons. They would just be on their phone or the computer and looked annoyed to answer questions. I would not recommend it for beginners especially considering the cost.
Facility is never clean, they never wipe down after any groups won't take the time to actually keep healthy environment like other gymnastics companies, even after being informed of the dissatisfaction and the constant contagious environment. Kid get sick everytime , won't allow me to cancel even though I've expressed my concern for several weeks. They keep them busy and the engagement is that of a coach, less of a day care activity director which is perfect. Too bad they don't clean as well as they teach.
I have been taking my 5year old here since November. She loves it. The coaches are pretty good. Not all of them may be compatible with your child, so you have to find one that is. So far we have had coach Chris and coach Angie. Both amazing! And highly recommended.
As a grandparent I would like to say how enjoyable it is to watch what my grandchildren have learned at Byers. They love the exercise and activity and learn to follow instructions. The Summer Olympics event was a lot of fun. The staff is wonderful with their enthusiasm and genuine enjoyment of working with the children. The Byers program is great for kids and families.
