The Buffalo Yacht Club Foundation runs junior sailing on the Buffalo waterfront next to the Peace Bridge, Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm from June 29 to August 21. Classes are grouped by age and experience: Beginner Prams (6-8) and Advanced Prams (7-9), Opti Race and Adventure Sail (9-14), Intro to Racing (11-15) and the 420 Race Team (13-17), with a half-day Learn to Sail option for ages 10-16 running 12:30-4pm. Full-day weeks are $395 ($425 for the race teams, two-week minimum) and the half-day is $245; the Foundation offers scholarships for children 6-18. Every class is coached by US Sailing certified instructors, the program runs rain or shine, and sailors bring their own lunch or order from the club menu.
