Camp TIMBER is the day camp at the Bridgewater YMCA, 601 Garretson Road, run by the nonprofit Greater Somerset County YMCA. The 10-week program runs five days a week from late June through late August, 9:00am-4:30pm, for campers entering kindergarten through 10th grade. ★Mahesh KannanVery stressed front office staffs at 9AM Saturday. Too much crowd, it probably Somerville YMCA closed. It is not Toddlers friendly environment, they are not giving comfortable environment for small kids, staffs are very rude. My toddler (3 year old) was nervous to get in side the swimming pool area, he wanted parent to drop him near to the pool. I have requested the staff can I accompany my kid till near to the pool so instructor to pick him. But the Rude person claiming himself as manager standing in the door and say no.. my toddler got scared and refused to go with him. I understand they are not allowing parents to enter in to pool side due to Current health situation and I saw couple of other parents dropping their kids in the same class to the pool and coming out when I asked the staff, he is lying and saying they are in parent-kids class. when I asked him then he is not giving valid reason. If rule says dont allow parents to pool side, it should apply for every one. And when i asked front office if i can share my experience/feedback to manager. they are pointing this rude person as manager. Hope YMCA management look at this and train front office staffs to be friendly and create better neighborhood.

I have been swimming here for about a decade and can compare it to about a dozen or so I have swam t over the last 30 years. Cons: Old building Always cold in the locker rooms Showers often do not have hot water Often have limited lanes due to swim teams No separate children's or swim team locker rooms Pros: Great location, 1 minute from Rts 287, 22, 202, 206 and 28. 10 lanes Great hours Very nice staff Life guards always show (nothing worse than waiting for late life guards) Small kids pool This is not a luxury pool, but it does the job and the location and staff overcomes any downsides. Also you can do a birthday party for a reasonable price
