The Citizens Unit is one of eleven Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula sites and runs the organization's nine-week summer program in Hampton. Campers rotate through S.T.E.A.M. projects, career exploration, arts and crafts, sports and recreation and field trips, and receive two meals a day. The program runs mid-June to mid-August, Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m., at $50 per week plus a $25 annual club membership. BGCVP is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has served Peninsula youth ages 6-18 since 1946.
