First Tee — Hampton Roads runs summer golf day camps at 2400 Tournament Drive in Virginia Beach, next to Virginia Beach National Golf Club, in partnership with the YMCA of South Hampton Roads. Full-day camp runs 9am to 4pm for ages 5-7, 8-12 and 13-15 and includes equipment if needed, lessons from coaches and organized course play, with drop-off from 7:30am and pick-up until 6pm; a half-day option for ages 5 to 7 runs 9am to 12pm. Alongside golf skills, camps teach life skills and fold in STEM education to limit summer learning loss. Camps are sold by the week starting mid-June, and scholarships are available through the chapter's annual giving campaign.

We have been coming to First Tee for years, and love it! Great programs for golfers of all ages and abilities. Our kids have learned skills not only for golfing, but for teamwork, etiquette, independence, and perseverance. Highly recommend.

This is a great facility to for kids to learn to play golf. The nine hole course is fun for a family to play. I was surpsired it was in such good condition. My youngest even enjoyed the range and putting green. My son enjoyed his week long summer camp. The instructors helped him with the basics and he improved significantly in his four days of camp. The price of the camp was also good. Hampton Roads is lucky to have this facility to expose golf to the young.
