The Boys & Girls Club of Massillon runs an all-day summer program for school-age youth ages 6-18 in Stark County, operating roughly 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The program emphasizes academic success, healthy lifestyles and character development with caring adult mentors. Membership fees are based on family income, and the summer program is geared toward at-risk youth as part of this nonprofit's year-round services.

Powered by GoogleMy grand daughter goes there. The staff are very good and friendly and care about the kids in their care
Great place for kids. They go by your income. Blessing for working parents or trying to find work or just time for yourself. They give them breakfast an lunch. Take them to the park. And do field trips. My lil loves making new friends an playing so it's great for her! Summer time hours 8 am to 5pm but be early as it gets crowded with so many children and parents in the afternoon. And nice helpful staff.
I can't actually comment on the services offered for kids since the only reason I go there is for the free food offered to help those less fortunate but I'm sure if the kids leave there at least half as happy as when I do then it must be an awesome place for kids. Tuesdays from 11am-12pm they have a food handout of non-perishables,bakery type foods from stores & a hot meal you can take home or certain times of the year they offer seating in & out of the building.
I would give this place 0 stars if I could!! The school year hasn't even been one full day in and I'm having problems with this place already. I went to drop off my niece's paperwork for her mother (since she has nobody else to help) and the power was off. The lady at the front desk created me with a loud and rude "I can't help you." As soon as I walked in the door. She said that I could not drop off my paperwork. She did not know when the power would be back on. I told the woman that I have a student that is scheduled to be dropped off there today and she told me "You better make other arrangements." with the most snotty-teenager like attitude! I asked when the power was to be back on, and what they would do if the power was still off upon student arrival and she said "Well it looks like they will be sitting in the cafeteria in the dark then!" Last year I called to complain that my niece was being bullied(because of her race) and they told me that there is nothing that they will do, and that "kids that age just need to learn how to deal with bullying!" How unprofessional of an organization!!!
I go there everyday I think it's fun and active! You play in the gym, game room, computer lab, life skills they even had a car wash! They except ages of 6+! They do photography and go to oak knoll park right across from the Boys and Girls Club of Massillon. They also go to downtown massillon for field trips! They go to museums. So if you ask me I think that it's fun to go there! (They also provide breakfast and snack then lunch during summer then in the winter they give you dinner and snack!)
