The Boys & Girls Club of Freeport and Stephenson County runs Extreme Summer Day Camp out of its clubhouse at 511 S Liberty Ave. The camp runs four to eight weeks, serves lunch daily, and fills the day with swimming, field trips and other activities while working to prevent summer reading loss; summer program hours are 12:00pm-7:00pm. The Club's year-round offerings include 21st Century Community Learning Centers academic support in reading and math, an Elementary Sports League with leagues and camps in flag football, basketball, soccer and wrestling for Freeport School District grade schools, and Teen Reach outreach. Teen members can also join Junior Staff, an apprentice program for exploring a career in youth and human services.
