Battell Community Center, run by Mishawaka Parks & Recreation, hosts the city's Explorers summer day camps. The Lil' Explorers program at Battell serves children ages 4 to 6 with guests, field trips, and movie days, while the Big Explorers program for ages 6 to 12 is based at nearby Castle Manor. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:00pm, with lunch provided and optional PM care until 5:00pm.
