I LOVE Ballet Etude. I’ve been attending the Adult Ballet 1 class for about 9 months and it’s been nothing but an amazing experience. I’ve never done dance before but I’m not made to feel less than any of the other more experienced students. The teachers are knowledgeable and kind. They support the dancers while still asking full participation from each dancer to learn and become better. I will continue attending and look forward to many years of learning to dance from Ballet Etude.

My experience as an adult ballet dancer at Ballet Etude in Rexburg, ID has set the bar high. Ballet Etude welcomes dancers of all skill levels, ages, genders, and body types. Every dancer is treated with the same level of respect and attention. Ballet Etude maintains an inclusive, body-positive atmosphere. The instructors are dedicated to training all dancers and helping them achieve personal goals. In addition to providing rigorous, vetted dance curriculum, Ballet Etude provides opportunities for adult ballet dancers, at all levels, to perform on stage. When I first returned to dance after a 35-year hiatus, I never imagined that I would be dressed in costume and dancing with an ensemble on stage. Ballet Etude has allowed me to dream bigger and improve my dance skills more than I thought possible.

I took Adult Ballet I and Adult Ballet II at Ballet Etude and the experience was amazing, highly recommend. The last time I was in ballet was when I was 7 years old and I am now turning 50, which is why I was nervous to even try. But there was no reason to be nervous. The staff are so welcoming, the other students -from young adult to seniors-are positive, kind, encouraging, and friendly. The instructor, Madissen, is brilliant. She teaches you step by step technique making all students feel like dancers day 1. It has been a joy to be part of Ballet Etude! The fitness benefits and flexibility training are beyond rewarding. You can already sense that you are getting in better shape after just two classes. Your posture improves, your confidence soars, and you appreciate the muscles you never knew you had. Madissen is incredibly talented and knowledgeable. She gets to know her students as individuals, she is inclusive no matter the skill level, and she makes the class fun. She sees potential where you might doubt you have any. As an adult, to find a place and people that believe in you is rare-but it exists here. 5 STARS all around.

Anyone who knows my youngest daughter knows that she is full of life, spunky, energetic and theatrical. That also comes with strong will and independence. Ballet Etude has patiently worked with her for almost two years. They have taken the energy, harnessed it, and taught her technique and teamwork. We have had the pleasure being a member of an academy that meets children where they are at and teaches them fundamentals, passion, and brings joy to dance! Can't wait for the Spring showcase and Spring Production!
