The Asheville Ballet, North Carolina's oldest nonprofit dance company, runs the Asheville Academy of Ballet and Contemporary Dance at 4 Weaverville Road in Woodfin, training students from age 3 through adult in ballet, modern, contemporary, pointe, Progressing Ballet Technique, conditioning and Pilates. Its summer offering is the Blue Ridge Dance Camp, a full-day week-long intensive running 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., August 3-7 in 2026, for serious students ages 11-18. Daily classes cover ballet, pointe, repertoire, modern, partnering and choreography; tuition is $550 with a $50 nonrefundable deposit.
