Arden Theatre Company, a professional theatre in Philadelphia's Old City, runs Arden Summer Camp for grades 1-12 at its Hamilton Family Arts Center on North 2nd Street. Camps are offered in drama, musical theatre, comedy and design: drama campers rehearse and perform a scripted play by week's end while learning blocking and character work, musical theatre campers study Broadway songs and choreography with working professionals, and behind-the-scenes tracks cover lighting, sound, props, costumes and stage management. One- and two-week sessions run through the summer, taught by Philadelphia theatre artists and ending in a showcase.

Powered by GoogleAn excellent theater, probably one of my favorites. I saw their production of RENT and it was an amazing show (and the first time I have ever seen RENT as a theater production). If you are interested in seeing a show here, they may have discounted tickets at the TKTS booth in the independence visitor center for sale.
I have been an Arden season member for several years now. The Leap of Faith membership is the best deal for live theater in the city and is a great way to have a season of theater booked and in your calendar. The sheer talent of the actors and creativity of the sets keeps me coming back. The variety of shows (small plays, musicals, local playwrights, well known shows) is amazing. Even if it's a show I wasn't familiar with, I more often than not leave the theater impressed and telling everyone I know to go see it. We are so lucky to have the Arden in Philadelphia. *The customer service is also super nice and helpful if you ever have to swap tickets etc.
Spacious, clean theater with a good vibe. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable.
My daughter, her friend and I went to see Falsettos. The show was spectacular. I was surprised at how much I loved the intimate setting of the theater. I had no idea the theater is so small and it was a delight. No matter where you sit, you will be able to clearly see the stage and even small facial changes on the actors. We will definitely be attending more shows.
Went here for an afternoon showing of RENT. The line to enter went quickly and finding our seats was easy. Speaking of, I thought the seats were quite comfortable. The venue felt pretty new and was very clean. Finally, the drink selections were pretty good and very much priced fairly for a entertainment venue. That’s such a big plus! Will definitely be back for another show soon.
