Nonprofit chamber-music center on 100 acres in Nelson, NH (founded 1971) whose Summer Chamber Music Workshop runs five 10-day sessions for musicians ages 13 through adult, placed into chamber groups by ability rather than age. Coached daily by the Apple Hill String Quartet and faculty, it accepts players from early-intermediate through advanced and centers on ensemble playing and its "Playing for Peace" mission.
