AnJo Summer Baseball and Softball League

I kinda feel as though these fields were just kinda tossed here at some point. It has the ideaology of a complex of fields but there are a ton of drawbacks. Its more set up like your local park with a group of fields. Upon entering, you pass a bunch of abandoned houses. Parking is a mess to say the least. It's pretty much wherever you find a spot, go for it. The fields are well maintained meaning no divots in the infield or overgrown grass but the presentation of them is where it needs attention. The dugouts look old and worn down and they need more seating at each field. Trees offering shade during hot days would be a plus. They only had porta johns which if you want a complex, regular bathrooms is a massive plus! Overall, the fields were awesome but the curb appeal/parking is less than desirable. A little work would go a long way.

The grounds crew is the worst. Showed up for a game and there was no second base. Then the pitching rubber was at the wrong distance. The crew finished working on another field no used that night and delayed our game by 10 min. We need to find a new place to play.

I think Shaniqua Jones' review is a classic example of a parent of a team with superior talent, that lost to a team that played it's little hearts out, and beat them, when they expected to win. The truth of the matter was there was no profanities yelled by any ANJO players or coaches at any time. If there was I would think the umpire would have addressed it, and if they didn't, I would think the coaches of Lou Gehrig Red 8U would have filed a complaint with the tournament. But they didn't. Why? Because it never happened, and Shaniqua Jones is a flat out lying, which says alot about her character as a parent to lie about the actions of 8 year old boys. The boys of ANJO did take a knee after the play was stopped, which is the umpire's responsibility. Maybe you should take action with your coaches or the umpire for not stopping the game quicker. And if you truly were a coach for 10 years Ms. Jones(which why hide behind a false psuedo-name if you were truly a coach and not a upset wife), you would know ANJO was not "stealing bases", they were advancing runners. Stealing is not allowed at this level(8U). But Ms. Jones, our coaches I am sure would welcome the conversation with the tournament coordinators & your coaches about the events of that game. But then again, I am sure you are not a coach and just another crazy baseball mom living vicariously through her son. At ANJO we believe in Working Hard and Playing Hard. It's our motto. We worked and played hard, and won. It's a shame you cannot accept that as well. Peace and God Bless your soul, for it seems an angry one.

Our team played this 8u team in a tournament and I’ve never met such a bunch of unprofessional coaches EVER! I’ve been helping coach for over 10 years and I’ve never see such an embarrassment. Not only did they cheat but they encouraged their entire team to cheat, yell unprofessional profanities to our kids but when one of our players was hurt and our entire team took a knee, the coaches of 8U Anjo encouraged their team to steal bases and score while everyone took a knee. Such an embarrassment to little league baseball. Nonetheless it left a lasting impression on everyone.

I brought my son(s) to AnJo from another organization initially for the travel experience. They enjoyed it so much that they also wanted to be a part of the house program as well. After 3 years of house and travel baseball in the AnJo organization, I decided to represent the league by becoming the President. Great organization, great people, great facilities and one of the best concession stands in the area. AnJo serves kids of all skill levels from ages 4-13 in its house program. I've never regretted bringing my family to AnJo. Great experience thus far.
