AKA SPORT (Active Kids Association of Sport) is a Minnesota 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Blaine that runs an All Sports Camp for children in grades K-6, where campers rotate through a variety of sports and fitness activities. The organization also runs before- and after-school programs and school-release day programs across the Twin Cities. Founded in 2004, it operates a donor-funded scholarship model so cost is not a barrier to enrollment.

★Aaron NicklayThe camp experience for my son was fine, the staff was good with the kids but it felt like we warehoused him for a week instead of getting any real benefit from the experience. The REAL problem here is that buried deep in the registration fine print, they automatically check a box for you that will sign you up for a lifestyle club subscription that is free for 30 days and then a month later they hit your card for another $100 charge without any heads up. Then, a year later you get an email notifying you of your "renewal" on the same day the charge hits your card. This isn't a youth camp it's a vehicle to get subscription fees that auto renew.

We have really enjoyed this program, they keep the kids active all day long and introduce them to different sports. We are not a golfing family but this summer our daughter learned through AKA that she is interested in golf and had a lot of fun. The variety that is provided is great for the different age groups. Our youngest now wants to be involved seeing how much fun her sister has. This has been a great choice for summer fun! The kids have also participated in indoor sports during the winter months and we can not say enough about the coaches! They are out there having fun with all the kids and are so motivating and helping the kids be the best they can be. My kids have come to love all things AKA SPORT
