SOAR is a long-running outdoor-adventure organization for youth with ADHD and learning disabilities, based in the mountains near Waynesville. Its summer program is an ACA-accredited overnight adventure camp where campers live in small, age-based groups and take on rock climbing, white-water rafting, surfing, horseback riding, and more; the Academy at SOAR is its separate year-round boarding school. Serves ages 8 and up.
