Above Basketball Academy runs half-day summer basketball camps at its Above Athletics facility on Philips Highway in Jacksonville, led by coach Jim Martin. Rising 5th-9th graders can enroll in a morning Basketball Skills Camp (9 a.m.-noon) or an afternoon Shooting Camp (1-4 p.m.), each three hours, so a single session will not cover a full workday. Martin's program is the largest in Northeast Florida with three locations - at the beach, near St. Johns County, and in San Marco - and he has coached NBA and McDonald's All-American players including Grayson Allen and Patric Young.

We LOVE this facility. Great coaching staff, excellent basketball drills, and a fun and engaging place for kids to learn and practice the fundamentals of basketball. We've seen many of the same coaches here that we know from JBA, which is awesome. They do an excellent job of tailoring their coaching and feedback to give each kid what he/she needs. Both boys love Coach Tyler Martin! If you haven't tried out Above, we highly recommend it.
