The York Art Association, a nonprofit and one of the oldest art associations in the country, offers summer kids' art camps alongside year-round classes at its York location (220 S. Marshall St.). Camps and classes span a variety of mediums and styles, from watercolor and oil painting to anime and collage, for a range of ages and experience levels. The association also runs two admission-free galleries and a sculpture garden.

★Bryan RamosThe mission is great, the execution leaves something to be desired. Poor communication amongst the staff, you’ll be told something only to find out that wasn’t communicated to others. They also ripped one of my paintings then called me to tell me they just didn’t know how that happened. Overall, poorly run, and insular. A terrible experience.
