★Birdie Hurt

Everything about this YMCA is inconvenient. People like to sit in their idling vehicles in front of the entrance waiting for their kids/teens to finish whatever; meanwhile, anyone parked in the handicap spots near the entrance (because that's the purpose of having a handicap tag) has to wait for the endless procession of vehicles to move on before being able to leave. The wheelchair "ramp" from the parking lot is a laughably short slope that gets entirely blocked by any vehicle in the handicap spot in front of it; definitely not ADA compliant. The pool is available during work hours for free swim and after most people get off work it is only available to kids signed up for swimming lessons. So adults who are busy during midday hours don't get to swim. The freeweights section of the gym is difficult to use because it usually has clusters of teenage boys grouped up talking, leaning on equipment they're not using, and are generally hard to navigate around. There's also a creepy little basement room that does not feel safe; I'm pretty sure nobody would be able to hear a scream come from down there. The locker room, showers, and toilet areas are narrow (good luck navigating in a wheelchair), labyrinth-like, and permanently smell like sweaty gym socks. It was a struggle to use the toilets without gagging.

The staff are friendly and usually a good environment but Wednesday evenings have been awful with several teenagers and a 20 y/o throwing water bottles and headphones as well as constant racial slurs there were two little girls playing cards with a group people and the older boys thought it appropriate to start talking about threesomes not a family environment

Nice except the MUSIC. In the gym you're stuck with loud music that needs a facelift. It's like it's 2001 in a smokey bar and a too drunk 64 year old from Ohio is monopolizing the juke box trying to relive his glory days. Ughhh horribly inconsistent for pumping out a workout and so loud it can't really be drowned out by earbuds. Anyway, it's clean and the staff is fantastic and friendly. If they could just play a workout playlist (or no music at all (everyone has earbuds and headphones these days lol)) and this is a perfect Y 🙂

My only complaint is they don't enforce the dress code. It's supposed to be modest attire but I don't consider bras and booty shorts modest. Especially when bending over on the machine in front of me. Pretty disappointing. Other than that it's a nice place. Hopefully they will enforce their dress code some day.

I've been going here for about 6 months. The staff is amazing and very friendly. The pool is huge and is a great swimming environment. The gym is a pretty good size and it has everything you need. The community is the best part everyone is great in the gym and we all get along. The basketball court is a normal size and is great for playing after workout and just when you're in the mood to play. Overall I love this place 5 stars. The guy at the front desk is amazing always greets us and talks to us.
