YMCA of the Pines runs three summer camps on more than 800 acres in the Pine Barrens of Medford: Camp Ockanickon (boys' overnight), Camp Matollionequay (girls' overnight) and Lake Stockwell (co-ed day camp). Serving children since 1906, it offers classic outdoor activities in a wooded lakeside setting about a half hour from Philadelphia. Overnight and day options are available.

★★★ToriI visited the YMCA of the Pines for almost two days and one night. This was my class trip and overall we had a ton of fun. Besides hair in the shower and an odd smell the cabins were relatively clean. Our cabin had a kitchenette and Kureig. The fireplace in the room was great for making s’mores although there were fire pits outside. Food options were limited for those with restrictions. No drink options were offered except for coffee with breakfast. Our tour guide Topher was very energetic but didn’t give good instruction while canoeing. He made some religious jokes that made our group feel uncomfortable. Overall the trip was great but the staff weren’t the best.

The food is awesome and the facilities are clean and well kept. The price point is fantastic for families and the whole environment is a safe one for letting your kids run around and play independently.
