Powered by GoogleMy daughter had an amazing time at Yatta's...her 1st year attending. She is into all things in the arts...singing, dancing, drawing, drama, fashion. And this camp was perfect for her. The staff was professional, supportive, and clearly passionate about the performing arts. I was very impressed by the final showcase. It was clear how much the kids learned and grew in just a few weeks. The camp was well-organized, safe, and full of positive energy. I highly recommend for any young performer or child interested in performing arts!
My chlldren have been going to Yattas since they were small. They are both teens now and STILL enjoy YATTAS. This camp NEVER disappoints. I cannot say enough about the staff's ability to tap into and develop each campers gifts and talents from creative writing to dance and theater. I look forward to the amazing show put on at the end of the camp session. I truly appreciate YATTAS. It's a community that I trust and look forward to my children being part of year after year. Our children need more places like YATTAS.❤️❤️
Yattas Performing Arts camp is truly a gem for our Artsy children here in Baltimore. Its beautiful to see children who are interested in the arts be surrounded by the arts all summer long with dance, theater, singing, trips and good wholesome fun. One of the things that makes me really happy is their reinforcement of Black Pride . Each year the kids do a Poetry Café and a play. This years Poetry show was entitled Black Is Back, the kids all wrote poetry and performed and they clearly understood that we never left in the first place. It was more than a performance, it was an intentional assignment planting seeds of self love and getting the kids to think and feel confident to speak about what makes them so beautiful, valuable and unique. Some kids spoke, some sang, some played music , I was so impressed, I could have listened to those kids love on themselves all day. The plays are awesome too, they always pick nice plays and make them soulful. I also like that the kids are safe because Kenyatta does not play, so being respectful to others and adults is must and so naturally its a no bullying zone. My daughter looks forward to seeing her friends every year and spending her summers at Yattas.
This was my daughter's second year attending the Y.A.T.T.A.S Performing Arts Summer Camp, and once again, the experience has been nothing short of phenomenal. From the moment she stepped back into the program, we could feel her excitement and anticipation—and Y.A.T.T.A.S delivered beyond expectations. The growth I’ve seen in her both artistically and personally has been incredible. Under the leadership of the exceptionally talented director and her dedicated team, my daughter has continued to build confidence, sharpen her performance skills, and discover new ways to express herself creatively. It's clear that every instructor and mentor at Y.A.T.T.A.S is deeply invested in nurturing the gifts of each child. The energy, professionalism, and genuine care that goes into every rehearsal, class, and showcase is inspiring. The Y.A.T.T.A.S team has the ability to make each child feel seen, valued, and empowered. The program not only strengthens artistic ability—it builds character, discipline, and joy in the process. I am so grateful for the continued positive impact Y.A.T.T.A.S has had on my daughter’s journey, and we look forward to many more summers of growth, inspiration, and unforgettable memories. Thank you to the amazing team for helping my child shine! — A Proud Y.A.T.T.A.S Parent
This was our second year with YATTAS and my 11 year old loves it, he’s already making plans for next summer. The staff and experience are awesome from creative writing and spoken word, to drama and theatre performance opportunities. But what I really love is how much enthusiasm the kids show for each other, it says a lot about the culture they cultivate here!!! This was a wonderful experience!
