World Upside Down is a Greenville nonprofit arts studio whose summer camps run week by week through music, dance, theater and visual arts for K-12 students. Campers learn a theme-based song and dance, make art projects, stage stories, and finish the week with a showcase for family and friends; daily trips to nearby Pine Forest Park add outdoor games and free play. The organization is a 501(c)(3) with an explicitly Christian mission and also runs after-school arts classes, a theater program, and ABA therapy services for students with autism.

Rather than focusing on competition, the environment encourages kids to celebrate each other's gifts, talents, and progress. The teachers and coaches are talented, energetic, and often former or current members of the program. They set high expectations and consistently support students in meeting them. My kids came home each day exhausted—but happy and proud of something they accomplished. The Friday showcases are always a highlight.
