From start to finish, the experience was amazing. The counselors were the absolute highlight – kind, energetic, supportive, and clearly passionate about what they do. They made every camper feel included and valued, and created a fun, safe environment where kids could really thrive. This summer, my kids attended Wise Choice Summer Camp at FIU for the first time — and it has been a hit! From the beginning, I was a bit nervous since it was a new place for us, but that quickly changed. The staff is incredibly respectful, organized, and communicative, which gave me peace of mind as a parent. What my kids loved the most was the variety of activities and the chance to choose their own mini-electives, which made each day exciting and interesting for them. The weekly field trips were also a huge hit, and I really appreciated that everything — including trips and activities — was included in the camp fee, with no surprise charges. One of the standout features for me is the weekly presentation activity, which has really helped my children build confidence and feel more comfortable speaking in public. I also love that no two days are the same — they’re always doing something new and engaging. We originally signed up for just a few weeks to try it out, but they were so happy with the experience that we ended up extending it for the entire summer. Wise Choice Summer Camp has been a great experience for my son. He suffers from separation anxiety and this was my main concern when I first searched for summer camp options. I found Wise Choice Summer Camp searching on the UM website and I decided to go for it. My son loves it. Most of all, he enjoys going to camp every day. We have 2 young boys who attended this camp for two summers in a row and loved it! We recently relocated and it was hard to find a good program that they enjoyed as much as they did Wise Choice. Great activities, field trips, and best of all, great counselors. We loved the focus on building presentation skills as part of the program, where each kid was asked to give a presentation on a topic of choice. It helped build confidence, research and writing skills. Plus it was a lot of fun for them to share their interest. In addition, the camp offers lots of physical play, swimming, games and weekly field trips and now offers a lunch service program which was super convenient for our family. Our kids had great summers at Wise Choice!
