We have been members of the WAC for years, and I’d say the biggest downside of this gym is that they simply don’t request feedback at any point, so they don’t have real knowledge of what members are liking or not, and seem to promote people who aren’t good instructors. They have removed boot camp classes from their offerings which was a huge blow for us. The outdoor pools are nice, and the childcare is hit or miss depending on the location. It’s expensive and we will likely start to look into other options.

Heartland WAC is top-notch! Yes, it’s a bit older in regard to facility but All kept in good order and clean! The equipment is always in great condition, and there’s an excellent variety of machines available—so I’ve never had to wait long to get a workout! Every employee I’ve interacted with has been friendly, approachable, and eager to help. The reviews with negative comments about the staff or trainers (which in all honesty prompted me to post) I have just not experienced, been quite the opposite. Atmosphere is welcoming, positive, motivating and comfortable It feels like a place where everyone—from beginners to advanced —can feel comfortable and supported. I’m really glad I joined and would recommend WAC to anyone looking for a clean, well-equipped, and positive place to work out!

I don’t even know where to start. This place has really gone down hill. The private trainers have completely taken over this place with their “clients” who half the time aren’t even working out and are just talking. You can’t turn a corner without running into one, and at least once a day while using a machine/spot for weight lifting, I’ll turn around for a superset and a trainer will use what I set up for their client disregarding the towel and water bottle marking it’s being used. On top of that, the trainers block off the small lifting room for their clientele to do their workouts that they all have their clients do. I’m not sure if I’ve seen a new workout being done by a private trainer since I signed up here. It’s always the attack rope, the resistance treadmill, and some sort of band workout. These people are wasting their money, they’re better off watching a YouTube video for workouts and saving themselves the 100 dollars a session. If you’re thinking of signing up here, don’t. Just sign up at one of the many other gyms in this area that don’t have this ridiculous problem unless you like to spend twice the amount of time at the gym and basically set up the gym for all these trainers. It’s only a matter of time before whoever is running this place runs it into the ground.

Great community, staff and fitness center! The kids club and family membership are amazing — a serious life saver for getting a workout or quiet sauna time in without having to juggle little ones! Highly recommend for families and individuals.

I’ve been a customer here for a few years overall I’m happy with everything. It can get very busy and it sometimes hard to get on to the equipment that you liked to use.
