Powered by GoogleGreat staff/ownership. Well maintained and quiet property, with the convenience of edge-of-town location. Would definitely choose WE campground again should I camp in Salida in the future! Really enjoyed our time their.
Wild Expoditions has changed its name to Riverside RV Park! I like it! Ive stayed 2 times here and both were awesome. I was treated very well and I love the property! Beautiful river and conveniently located by Walmart if you need supplies. But its like your in the country. I love this place!. Look no further! They also set up the best white water rafting trip Ive ever been on! Just awesome!! Do it!!
This is such a great spot. The campground is close to everything but far away from the main road that it is nice and quiet. There is an interesting and lovely place next to the creek for spending some time with the dogs or kids. The first time we came here they really bent over backwards to get us a spot since everything else was full. That is why we came back the next time through. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend.
The location and scenery is great but the rest of our experience was not. This was probably once a nice motel/camp area but it is so uncared for now that weeds are growing out of everything, the bathrooms are disgusting, and the fishing ponds are filled with algae (and posted no fishing despite what the website says). I had three young boys under 12 with me and the first thing the host said is they had to be supervised at all times. Having to accompany three excited boys around the campground everywhere INCLUDING THE BATHROOM, was exhausting. I took those boys camping so they could run around with each other and play. I had to ask them to sit in the campsite while I cooked, cleaned up, and tried to relax. When I arrived at 5:30pm the hosts were nowhere to be found. The office was vacant even though the posted hours said they were open until 6:00pm. I finally found them in their camper after asking two other visitors. After I checked in they told me I had to submit the insurance papers for my trailer and tow vehicle to them via email. No RV Park I've stayed at has ever asked for that. The only reason this place got two stars from me is because the river that ran by the campsite was beautiful and provide a serene setting for the evening and night.
Came in after office closed but the host still came out and greeted us. She saw that we had kids and let us have the spot next to the play equipment. very beautiful with a river to walk over and ponds to sit by. The bath house had 3 toilets and 2 showers with hot water. They offered WiFi but with no streaming. Sonic and Walmart within walking distance. Definitely would stay again!
