Trail West Lodge is a Young Life property in Buena Vista, established in 1954, that runs week-long all-inclusive family camps through the summer rather than a drop-off camp for children alone. Families stay in lodge rooms or condos with views of Mt. Princeton, and the week combines recreation with Young Life's presentation of the Christian gospel. Outside the summer season, from mid-August to October and in early May, the lodge hosts retreats and conferences for church, parachurch, school, military and other nonprofit groups.
