My daughter has received both individual and group training by Coach West with West Training since 2021 - 7th grade. His consistency, knowledge, ingenuity and creativity in training methods is top notch. What really impresses me is his passion for the game and for the players that he trains. Although there are many, he can tell you their name, the schools they attend, and the position they play. Better yet, he attends their games and carefully evaluates their skills and assesses areas for growth and development. My daughter refers to West Training as her "happy place", where she can sharpen her skills, and get a good workout. His motivational coaching style, including his encouragement and accountability, has supported the growth of my daughter's mental toughness. He has assisted her in overcoming challenges and adversities and helped her to stay motivated. As a parent, he has provided me with a space to process navigating my daughter's basketball journey. If you are looking for someone to give money to and have your young athlete dribble between some cones - this is not your guy. We absolutely love Coach West and the skills he teaches! No matter what skill level or age, he builds off of BASICS and FUNDAMENTALS. He lets kids know what his expectations are without yelling or criticizing them, and laughs with them too.
